Wedding bells. I love weddings. There is something about them that just makes me excited about them. It's Joe's wedding day. My best friend is getting married. and I am so happy for her. She deserves so much more after everything she has been through. And by that I mean her mother. "Your make up is all done. Just a final touch." The male make up artist said as he applied his final touches to a grinning Joe. We locked gazes through the mirror and I gave her a sincere smile. I was indeed happy for my best friend and sister. "That's it." The make up artist, John, smacked his lips and then Joe stood up as she walked over to me. I engulfed her in a long lasting hug. "Is it bad that I am Nervous?" She chuckled slightly. "No, it's not. It is perfectly normal, from everything I've read." I grinned. I could still tell she was nervous, "you are going to do fine. And no Philip is not going to walk away from the wedding if that's what you're worried about." We both laughed slightly, "he would never do that to you. That man loves you like crazy." "I love him too." She cooed. "Great!" I beamed. I walked towards the closer where the dress was kept, "it's time for the dress." I squealed as I brought out the dress from the closet, it was still inside the bag. Jane, Philip's mom came into the room and then grinned as soon as her gaze landed on Joe. "Both of you look so beautiful." She walked towards the bride and then pulled her into a hug. She laughed softly making a tear escape the corner of her eyes. She grinned at me and then pulled me into a hug also. "I'm so sorry. They are tears of Joy." We all laughed as she used her handkerchief to clean the tears that had escaped. Myself and Jane helped Joe into her dress. She stood at the front of the large mirror staring at her reflection with a smile on her face while myself and Jane held hands grinning from ear to ear. I helped her to out on her veil and then handed her her bouquet of flowers. Her brother, Ethan entered into the room with a smile on his face as soon as he saw his sister. He was dressed in a black suit and his hair was sttoed perfectly. He walked towards his sister and then pulled her into a hug, I guess he cried a little. "You look so beautiful." He sniffed. "Thank You." Joe laughed as she attempted the wipe the tears that almost escaped her eyes. "It's almost time." Jane said as she looked out if the window towards the garden where all the guests were seated. "Are you ready?" I asked as I adjusted the strap of her gown. She was wearing a fish tail dress that had an off shoulder hand style. "Yes." She grinned, gripping her bouquet in her hands tightly. "Okay." I kissed her cheeks and then made my way outside together with Jane. I stood on the alter, opposite Philip and Jake who gave me a wink while Jane sat in the front row seat beside her husband, Peter. The intro song began playing and all the guests stood up with their heads turned towards the entrance where the bride is going to appear from. After some time, Joe appeared on the aisle that has been created and decorated with rose petals. Her brother, Daniel walked her down the aisle slowly. Her eyes met mine and I gave her a big smile. I could see her gripping Daniel's hand very tightly, even though Joe is the very oitspoken one between us, she was definitely nervous right now for sure. The guests gave her smiles and waves here and there while some took pictures. I could feel Jake's eyes on me throughout, I turned around to glare at him playfully but as soon as I turned to look at him his face broke into a grin. Awwww. Even though he gave me his charming smile I still have him a murdereous glare. He shrugged and then mouthed, "I love you." I broke into a grin as I chuckled lowly and then turned away from him. Daniel handed Joe's left hand and placed it on Philip's left hand who was already tearing up while Joe laughed at him. Daniel and Philip gave each other a nod and Daniel went back to his seat. "You look beautiful." I heard Philip whisper to Joe. "You can now be seated." The old minister said as he adjusted his glasses. "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here this evening to witness this man and woman join together in holy matrimony. We have all gathered here to witness the union of Joe and Philip in marriage. We are also here to be a part of this new family. Family is one of the most important things in the world—it's nothing without love and relationship. With that said, I am sure we are all very eager to proceed with the wedding ceremony that will join this new family. So without further ado, let my speech end here and let us carry on with the ceremony.” "Marriage is more than joining the bonds ofd two people. It is the joining of their soul, heart and their lives together. Your marriage will leave on the love you will both give each other. Marriage is indeed love, may you always be able to talk things through, Confide in each other, to laugh with each other and enjoy live while you bith grow old. Love should have no other desire but to fulfill itself. But if by any means it decided to have deires, let these be your desires: to sleep with your beloved in your heart and song of love on your lips. To wake up at dawn, side by side with the gratitude of getting to love and feel loved. To return home at evening in gratitude." "When you love someone you do not love them everytime in the same way from moment to moment, that is such an impossibility and even a lie to pretend to. Joe and Philip the time has come to simply forget about all the stress of planning of this day and simply enjoy with your friends and family who has gathered here to celebrate with you. Let your love and friendship guide you as you learn to grow together." Immediately he said his speech, Joe and Philip said their vows afterwards which ended with both of them crying at the end of it and the guests laughing through most of what they said. Jake handed their rings over to them, since there was no young boy to be the ring bearer. Joe placed Philip's ring on his finger dirt and then he did the same to her, both of them grinning from ear to ear. The old minister asked if anyone was objecting to the union, "speak now and forever hold your peace." Everyone looked around, until no one spoke the priest continued, "With the power invested in me, I hereby pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." Philip leaned in towards Joe and then kissed her with the rest of us cheering them on.
