CHAPTER 13

CHAPTER 13
The reception which was filled with laughter, days and tears finally ended. The invited guests one by one left the location. Now only Niken, Ardi, Bambang and Mita are left there.
Niken looked tired and so did Ardi. The two of them almost didn't have the opportunity to sit quietly, because the number of guests who attended exceeded the invitations distributed.
Mita continued to express gratitude because today's event went smoothly, from the ceremony to the reception. Now all that's left is tiredness.
"It looks like Niken is very tired. You should take her to the room. Besides, you should already be in the room, spending the night together as husband and wife," said Bambang Adi Atmaja, a little teasingly.
Niken, who was originally nodding off, suddenly felt refreshed when she heard her father's words. He quickly sat up straight. Meanwhile, Ardi continued to exhale heavily. He could already guess that this moment would happen sooner or later.
At first he really wanted the first night, but with Melati and not Niken. He glanced at Niken who signaled him to reject his father's offer.
Bambang and Mita looked at each other, "What's wrong with you? Why are you looking at me like that? You are now legally husband and wife, so it's appropriate for you to spend time in your room, especially since this is your first night," explained Mita.
If allowed, neither Ardi nor Niken want to spend the night together. Like it or not, whether they like it or not, both of them have to do this.
Niken got up from her seat, "Good evening, Mom, Dad," she said while kissing Bambang and Mita's cheeks in turn.
When she was about to take a step, Ardi suddenly carried her bridal style. Even though it was quite difficult because of the wedding dress that Niken was still wearing, Ardi didn't mind it.
Niken's eyes bulged when Ardi treated her so well in front of her mother and father. Mita beamed when she saw the romance between the two people who finally became husband and wife.
Ardi immediately left the place after saying goodbye to Bambang and Mita.
"Our son-in-law is so sweet, isn't he, darling? He treats Niken very romantically. I remember our first night. You also carried me like Ardi did."
Mita clings to Bambang Adi Atmaja. She spoiled her husband, who was no longer young. Seeing Ardi and Niken, remembering their first night.
Bambang glanced at his wife, "Do you want it back now?" he said teasingly.
Mita raised her body, "Yes, I will." Then nodded indulgently. Bambang immediately carried Mita in bridal style, like Ardi did earlier.
Mita was so radiant when Bambang complied with her wishes. Even though he has been sixty years old, his strength has not diminished one bit. Whatever is related to beautiful nights, he will be able to give satisfaction to his beloved wife.
Bambang and Mita entered their room and so did Ardi and Niken, who were now in their room.
When he arrived at the room, Niken hurriedly asked Ardi to lower his body. Ardi complied with this request.
"Gosh, my waist. Turns out you're really heavy too. Carrying you from there to the room is like carrying a ton of weight. If I keep doing this for a long time I'll bend over before my time," complained Ardi, while stretching his painful waist.
Niken also carried heavy steps, she snorted while putting her hands on her hips. "What did you say? I'm like a ton of weight? Who told you to pretend to carry me, ah?"
Not only was his chest puffed out, but his face was also pushed forward, making Ardi move his head slightly so they wouldn't bump into each other.
"Sorry. Sorry, but I did that just to make your father and mother happy. If I didn't treat you like that, what would they think of us? 'We're married, how come we still go our separate ways?' "Of course they will think like that. Think about it again."
Niken softened, what Ardi said was true. He examined his current situation. If Ardi hadn't carried him like that, who knows what his mother and father would think later?
Niken looked at Ardi questioningly, while the man who was now officially her husband was also looking at her with his eyebrows rising and falling.
"Okay, get out of the way. I'm going to take a shower! Wearing this dress makes it difficult to breathe," she snapped as she walked past Ardi. His tone was so curt, with pursed lips.
Ardi turned around, looking at the back of Niken who was still clad in the wedding dress.
He stared at Niken for a long time, until finally his wife entered the bathroom, then slammed the door loudly.
He could guess that right now Niken's cheeks were red because she was embarrassed about losing in an argument with him.
"That woman. After getting married, instead of saying sweet things to her husband, she instead shouted at him. That's all there is to it," he sneered while shaking his head and without realizing he also laughed, when he remembered Niken's angry expression earlier.
Ardi felt like he was getting used to his wife's spoiled nature. Hari just doesn't argue with Niken, it tastes like vegetables without salt. Like there's something missing.
After he was satisfied laughing at Niken, he immediately rushed to the other side of the room. Ardi also took off his jacket and shirt. He also immediately wrapped his body in a towel.
Five minutes later, the bathroom door sounded like it was about to open. Ardi hurriedly took his steps there.
Niken came out of the bathroom only wrapped in a towel that covered her upper body up to her knees.
Niken immediately turned around when Ardi appeared in front of her. "Ais, why is he here?" he muttered, covering his face with one hand.
Ardi raised an eyebrow, "What's wrong with you?" he asked casually. "The clothes are there and not there. If you go there, it's a sign that you're going into the bathroom again," he continued to comment.
Niken, who didn't like being bossed around, finally shrugged her shoulders, "I already knew without you telling me. If you want to change clothes, go there, not here!" he snorted in annoyance, while hiding his embarrassment.
Ardi raised his lower lip, "Okay, that's it. When you're finished, it'll be my turn to take a shower."
Niken didn't respond, choosing to speed up her steps towards the cupboard there. Meanwhile, Ardi immediately entered the bathroom without chatting any further.
"Oh my..." his hiss was so long. He immediately looked for clothes in there. Without choosing, Niken grabbed a pink pajama set with cherry blossom and terarai motifs.
"That man always annoys me. Why is he so stubborn?" he grumbled while putting on clothes. First the pants, then the shirt. Next, he stepped towards the dressing table which was located not far from where he was now.
Niken sat in front of the dressing table. Then, looked at himself from behind the reflection in the mirror. Now she is no longer the daughter of the Atmaja family. Her duties became even more difficult after this, becoming Mrs. Ardi Bagaskara.
