CHAPTER 20

The week has come that makes me nervous and happy. We have graduation practice. There was an orientation that brought me to not think of the things that bother me now. I’m having fun, and it’s fun because it can be done well.
Today has been a very busy day. Effectiveness speech, ceremonies and procedures. Too much to do. Eat and attend what Charrie and I do. Sometimes I see Daile in the cafeteria but I just ignore him. Who else is he in my life to notice. When our eyes meet I just remember everything. I'm sad and confused so I'd better not see him anymore. Charrie and I went to the library to secretly watch a movie. Missing to do it again. We are free because there are no lessons. Every time I go home I just eat dinner alone, because Mom and Dad are so busy again. I am happy because the parents have a job but sad because they are abusing themselves too much for the job. These are probably the reasons why they only have one child. I've always complained about why I don't have a brother, Until I got used to being alone. I can get everything but the fun of being with someone is nothing.
I was alone watching in the bedroom while holding the invitation for graduation. I'm waiting for them, so they'll have information on when I'm going to graduate. The show was coming to an end when I heard a knock.
The door slammed shut Mommy she was smiling at me and looking tired. I hugged her to relieve her fatigue. When we let go of the hug I reached for the envelope so I might forget more.
She reached for it and smiled at me. "I'll give it to your Daddy, in case he forget." I nodded at her.
"I hope Daddy will come with us. When I was in high school he wasn't there. I hope he has time for this." My suggestion.
Mommy nodded and decided to leave my room. I went to sleep and prayed that the World would agree with me.
The next morning, I caught Mommy having tea with a gay man holding a brochure.
"Good morning!" Mommy greeted, and approached me.
I wanted to work out in the gym room and decided to go here first.
"Good morning everyone." I replied simply and I wanted to ask immediately.
"Uhm, Moriya. This is Amor, he is your stylist in your debut? Do you remember?"
I was shocked and remembered that it was him. I forgot that because a few weeks passed.
"Oh! Right, I know you Sir. I love your style." I complement him.
He smiled at me and returned my compliment. "It's a small thing, Moriya. You're so beautiful that Mahira can't fix you."
"Thank you, by the way you can start showing to my daughter the clothes she can wear to graduation." Mommy promised to give me an idea.
I sat on the sofa, and looked at the clothes. Too much, I'm dizzy. I wanted to ask them for a suggestion but I just let it go. Eventually I chose the red dress. Simple but still showing elegance.
"Is this what you want?" Question of the stylist.
I nodded and he immediately measured me. I then remembered the dress Reigan had given me. They didn't know my size but it was exactly right for me. I smiled as I thought about that.
"Done!" Promise the stylist after I measure.
I smiled and thanked. I left them and went to the gym room. I worked out because it's been a few weeks since I worked out. I want to keep my body in shape.
After I work out. I got dressed and ate because today I also had a driving lesson. I am happy when I can do a lot in one day.
Until after my lesson I went to Charrie's house where The Place where we could film Marathon. It was almost night when I got home.
And over and over again, Mommy and Daddy are gone.
Until the day came and graduation day. I adjust as Mommy smiles as she watches me.
Mom is wearing a navy blue dress, just right for her. She looked younger. I hope my face is like that even when I'm older.
While I was adjusting I still couldn’t help but think. I knew Dad would never be able to attend. I asked Mommy earlier, she said Daddy was just late. But I no longer believe, I am no longer a child and I already know the moves.
We left a few hours later so as not to be late for the ceremony. Lots of people, I was excited to see Charrie right away. When I saw her, she hugged me.
"Finally, this is it." She said and kissed Mommy when she saw it in front of me.
She is with his Mom and Dad now as well as her older brother. We greet them, they look so high class. Enviably they are complete. I just want to laugh at myself now. One of the school staff guided us, the students had to sit together in the chair first. We separated from our parents. As we sat, Charrie started asking me questions.
"Where's your daddy? Don't tell me he's busy?" This is exactly what I expected him to ask. I nodded, "He is always busy" I sadly promise.
"Nothing changed." She added.
We both just fell silent as someone spoke on stage. The ceremony has already begun.
It began with a prayer, introducing those in high positions in the school. Performance of the guests and the most awaited of all was the speech of the valedictorians. Many spoke but only one caught my attention. Soot the mirror, wearing a pol-sci graduation gown. He was tall when he walked on stage.
"Randall Villavicencio" Promise his name. I fell silent when I realized it was resonant. It sounds like the name I always say. “Reigan Villavicencio” I want to laugh at what I think. No, he can't be Reigan's brother. There are many similarities, starting with the course, last name, first name and even what I see now if you look at him for a long time he looks like this. He just looks younger. I don’t want to believe it right now, because maybe it’s just coincidence. There must be something to prove it. I took it out of my mind and just watched him.
"Isn't that your man in the library?" Charrie asked.
"Yes" I replied.
"It's bad, he's smart. The effect of the library is really different. Maybe if I just did it in the library instead of watching, maybe the valedictorian will be with us." She joked.
I just smiled and turned my attention back to the speaker. Even if the speech is not that long, you can still say you know it. He seems to have written it in a meticulous way. His voice was so clear, so I wouldn't wonder why the person next to me was gaping while watching her. I tapped her to be alarmed.
Well, it's really amazing to watch him. He’s really smart.
After the speeches, they also started hanging medals with us. I was nervous but the fun still prevailed. Finally, it will end well. I was nervous, especially when my name was called.
I quickly climbed onto the stage and hoped that two would be with me. But, the only one there was Mommy.
I was still smiling as I walked closer to her. She put the medal on me.
"Congratulations, my one and only daughter. I am so proud of you." She whispered, I was a little tearful because somehow Mommy was always here by my side. She is the best, she never contradicted me with what I wanted, even small things I do she super appreciated. She treats me like a princess. But I wish Daddy was here. The three of us are complete.
After graduation we met again with Charrie's family. As we talk to them. Someone suddenly entered us.
"Hello, everyone." That was Daile’s Mommy’s voice. I was shocked but I still managed to smile. Charrie and I greeted them but we didn't bother to say a word to Daile.
Our friendship is over.
"Do you guys want to have a lunch in our restaurant? We would love to close it for a while to have a celebration." Her mom invited.
In this situation, we cannot decide.
Mommy answered immediately. "Yes, we would to join with you. I am really curious to your restaurant. We will come." Mommy said as the fun painted on her face.
She seems to be interested in Daile's family restaurant. Seriously, I don't know what's on her mind anymore.
"In that case, we'll just wait for you. See you and thank you for accepting my invitation." They promised to leave us. I glanced at Daile and he looked serious.
I hope it's imprinted in his mind that we are no longer friends. It’s hard to pretend right now that we’re okay. After that, we were no longer schoolmates. I will forget him.
"You wear proper clothes." Mommy promised me. I don't want to go and do plastic surgery but I can't do anything. When we got here at home I had no choice but to overthink. Until, now Daddy still doesn't come home. I don't want to ask Mommy first.
Then we get dressed and groomed. Mommy drove to Daile's restaurant. When we arrived, the vision adjusted a bit because it didn't look like this before. Bigger and screaming luxury. So I won’t wonder why Mommy is interested in it.
We entered here and the staff greeted us immediately. We sat in pitch black chairs. They were also there Charrie when we arrived. So they began to serve food. It just smells, it looks like it's expensive to eat. Back then, when Daile brought me here there was something else on the menu. Their business is getting bigger and bigger.
Daile's family also came and hugged us. We haven't started eating yet because there is still something to come. Whoever they are, I hope they hurry up and I want to go home right away.
"By the way, congrats to the three of you." Daile's Daddy's Introduction.
We were both grateful to hear that. I just watch them while talking of course about this business again. They never tire of this topic.
They were just stopped by someone entering the restaurant door. Two handsome men. They are similar, but have different stances. I was so shocked when I saw them, as if I wanted to drink all the ice tea here table. The opportunity is really different. I can't believe it. This is what I call proof.
