Part 1
 Mikuo was walking leisurely along the halls of the guild headquarters. He was feeling a bit embarrassed because of what happened earlier.
 He lost his composure when her sister was mentioned and ended up knocking out Leu. It raised quite the commotion but it was immediately controlled by Alexei with a single glare. Leu then woke up immediately as if nothing happened and gave Mikuo a sigh.
 Good thing they were friends for long enough that Leu was prepared for his reaction.
"Still quite the siscon knight huh." he just sighed. He seriously wanted to retort that but the rumor was much more important. He tried to ask again for the rumors about Rikka but it seemed there was a business that Leu needed to attend to. He excused himself and promised to resume their discussion later.
"Hayyy. What a blunder." he was massaging his temples as he walked along the hallway.
"This guild base is a lot different from the other guild bases I've been to. That's a major guild for you huh." he was wandering across different towns up till now so he's seen a lot of guild bases.
 He wanted to ask someone to accompany and give him a tour around base so that he can become familiar with the facilities. But he cannot find anyone he knew and he was too shy to ask strangers.
 He was still walking when he happened upon a double door with the sign Shop on it. This is one of the most important facility in a base so he decided to enter. When he entered the door, what greeted him was a massive room. What he saw inside made his eyes go round.
 Various types of merchandises lined up along its walls and ceilings. Lots of shelves and baskets filled to the brim. From weapons to armors to daily needs, name it and you may find it inside. It was definitely levels above the shops he has seen so far.
 He was busy surveying the contents of the store when a voice from the back of the room took his attention.
"So, I suppose you're that newbie everybody is talking about ey?" a man came out between the shelves at the back.
 He got a sharp pair of brown eyes and blond hair. He was wearing some work clothes and a waist apron filled with pockets. He was giving off the vibe of a veteran merchant from games.
"Welcome to the Guild Shop. Name is Basty, pleased to make your acquaintance ey." he held out a hand for a handshake which Mikuo took.
"As you see, shop is filled with all kind of stuff. Name it and I have it. Even if I don't, just give me some time and I'll prepare it. And the quality? I swear upon my name that the quality will be top notch." Basty proudly announced with a confident smile on his face.
"A multi-purpose shop huh. This is definitely convenient. No need to survey outside for a trusty store."
"I can also buy the stuff that you find in your quests ey."
"Well. Looking forward to do business with you then."
"I'm looking forward indeed." Basty just gave him a bow before he left the store.
"That kid. He's really interesting. The smell of money is all over him. Looking forward towards the wealth you can provide me." after that he once again disappeared among the shelves at the back of the store.
Part 2
 After checking the store, Mikuo continued his tour along the hallway of the base.
"That guy, seems suspicious but I guess I can rely on him when it comes to my needs," guys like that will remain friendly as long as you can benefit his business.
 He resumed his tour along the hallway and not long after that, he came across another double door, this time with the sign Clinic.
"A clinic huh. Need to check this one because I'll definitely come here a lot later." he came inside and what welcomed him was a room filled with beds and shelves filled with flask and bottles. It gave off the feeling of a modern-day hospital though it was lacking in terms of advance devices.
 He was still busy surveying the room when someone touched his shoulders out of nowhere. He was caught off-guard so only managed to tense up his body.
"Ohohoho. A lean body. You may not look like it, but you have a good body under those clothes." it was the voice of a woman.
 Maybe she was contented, she stopped touching him and sat on one of the beds.
 What he saw was a pale woman in a lab coat with dark circles under her eyes. Her black pair of eyes and black hair made her a lot darker despite her skin color. She looked like a textbook-definition of a research-addict scientist.
"So? What do you need dear newbie? You did not come here to be one of my test subjects, right? Or did you?" she licked her lips and that gave his spine a chill.
"N-n-no. I was just checking the place." he said that and immediately dashed out of the room.
'Damn, what the hell?! Where did she came from?! I did not sense her even when she got behind me. Dangerous. Definitely dangerous.' he thought that as he dashed away from the clinic.
"Hmmmmmmm. That boy, perhaps it was just my imagination? But still. Interesting. Another interesting test subject. Hmmmmmmmmm. Ugh. This is exciting. I can't wait. Ahhhhhhm." she said that while hugging herself in exhilaration.
Part 3
"Damn. I'll try to avoid serious as much as possible. Going there will definitely put me in a different kind of danger." it was giving him shivers just from remembering what happened in that clinic.
 He was still dreading when he noticed that he was already at the end of the hallway. There was yet another double door but he can hear a lot of noise behind it. Due again to his curiosity, he welcomed him was the lobby area of the base.
 It was filled with different kinds of people; guild members who were just hanging around and civilians who were submitting requests for the assistant of the guild. There were chairs and tables for hanging around and reception area for the quest management. Flags of the guild were also hanging here and there.
 He was still busy surveying the lobby area when he noticed someone at the reception area. It was Leu. He was talking seriously with one of the receptionists. He walked towards them wondering what was the problem.
"Hmmmmmm. This is problem indeed. Oh? Mikuo? Need something?"
"Nothing. Just giving myself a tour around the base. Looks like there is a problem?"
"Oh. Good timing. One of our sentries outside the city reported that he saw a pack of blood wolves not far from the Northern Gate. Right now, there is no problem but we can never be sure. They might attack one of the travelers along the northern roads."
"I get it. So, what's the problem? Blood wolves are just Category 1 monsters. Even if it's a pack, they can only get as far as Category 2. You guys can definitely handle them."
 Monsters are divided into 5 categories depending on their threat to humans:
 Category 1: A threat to a single person. Can be handled by single person.
 Category 2: A threat to a group. Needs a party of at least 3 - 5 people.
 Category 3: A threat to a town. Requires a raid team of a guild.
 Category 4: A threat to a city. Requires the might of a king.
 Category 5: A threat to the entire continent. Enemy of humanity. All of the kings are required to work together.
 These categories were made so that people will know which monsters can cause what kind of damage. It also prevented future casualties and assisted in subjugating strong monsters.
"The problem is, currently, all of our parties are out doing other quests. I don't know when are they going to be back. We can't wait for them because the pack might cause some serious troubles very soon."
"What about the guys from the Deus Gladium?"
"I tried to ask them but their guys are also out on an extermination quest. Looks like Category 3 monsters are causing some serious damages at the southern coast so they needed to send most of their raid teams. They said that they cannot lend us people or it will put a risk to the security inside the city. Damn. Why does it have to be now?" Leu was scratching his head a bit violently due to frustration.
"A big problem indeed. Ahhhh. Where am I going to find someone who's good at exterminations ~?" he was massaging his forehead but he was obviously looking at me.
"...…."
"Ahhhhhh~. This is a big problem indeed. Who's going to help us now? If only there was a kind soul around who is willing to help." *Stare*
"...…."
"Ahhhhhh ~ I heard that there was someone who's so good at solo exterminations that -" he knew what he was going to say so he cut him before it creates future troubles.
"Okay. Okay. I get it. I will do it. So just stop." they were starting to gather some attention so he gave up.
"Really?! Thank you. What a good friend you are." Leu grabbed his hands in an exaggerated manner.
"You owe me."
 Just as they were about to process his quest, someone violently entered from the front door and headed straight right to them.
"Hold it right there! Who told you that you can go?!" everyone's sight was focused towards the cause of the commotion. It was Lan Lei who were covered with some dirt from head to toe.
"Oh. Hey there Lan Lei. Aren't you out on a quest with Clerica and Sena?" it was Leu who asked her with visible confusion on his face.
 As if it was a signal, the two girls he mentioned entered the door also covered in dirt.
"Woooh. What an exercise. I wanna take a bath now. Nothing beats a bath after a good exercise." Sena was stretching her arms as he walked towards them.
"Me too. Want to take . . .a bath." it was Clerica being cute as always.
"We did it already! Damn you Leu! You never told me about those Tornado Swallows!" she shot a vicious glare towards Leu.
"Oh? Didn't I? Sorry. Perhaps I just forgot about it. But seems like you took care of it. So, all's well that ends well, right?" he was lying. Mikuo knew that based on his acting.
"But forget about that!" she then redirected her gaze towards Mikuo. "We will take care of those mutts. We don't need help from the likes of you!"
 She then went to the receptionist to process the quest before any of them can react. Even the receptionist failed to immediately respond. Minutes after that, the paper works were done and she headed towards the door again.
"Sena! Clerica! We are going out again!" he yelled as she dragged the two out of the base.
"NO!!!! I'm not going to deal with some weak dogs!"
"The . . . . baths."
 They only heard their pitiful rejections as they were dragged away by Lan Lei.
"She really hates you huh."
"You bet. But still, problem solved."
"Well, there goes the solution."
"Seems like you need to cough up some serious alibis later. She seemed so piss of you too."
"Well. The place where those wolves appeared is not that far. But still, it should at least take them till sunset to come back here. I still have some time to prepare."
 After that, he just hangs out in the lobby to pass the time because Leu went out to deal with some errands.
 The night came and the three should be back, but the next morning came and they never did.
