"Hmm? Isn't it funny how you think you can endanger the life of everyone in my family and think that yours will live to tell the story? you lied!!" Amelia said with a deep voice as Jade is already breathing heavily.
Amelia placed the dagger on her mother's neck and looks at her while Jade waves her head.
"No, please don't do it, am begging you with my life, don't please!!" Jade pleaded with a cracked voice as Amelia smiles and stabs her mother in her stomach.
"No!!!! No!!!" Jade exclaimed with a very loud voice and rushed her mum who was vibrating on the ground.
She picked her up without minding being stained by her blood "Mother, look at me!! Mother...? am here! look up!" Jade kept calling on her mum who was dying slowly.
She discovered that her mum was struggling to speak but the rope tied on her mouth was stopping her then she quickly untied the rope.
"Mum? Can you hear me..?" She said as her mum placed her hand on her cheeks.
"I-I-I, I warned you, Jade to stay away from her, but you chose to abandon your family just to live with these ruthless women," Her mum said as Jade waves her head in tears.
"Am sorry mother... I-I-I, I thought she was different" Jade said as her mother took in a deep breath.
"Jade I warned you that they are all the same but you ignored me" Her mum responded and was already losing too much blood but Jade kept trying her best, covering her wounded stomach.
"I told you that these people don't care about you, they are only interested in their wealth, look at you now, a b-b-bastard" her mum managed to complete her statement as tears keeps streaming down from her face.
She couldn't bear the pain that she is the cause of her mother's death, if she had known she could have listened to her mum.
"Mum, am-am, I'm so sorry, I never knew that things will end this way but I will make sure..." Jade was still saying but stopped as she discovered that her mum was no longer breathing.
"Mum are you okay...? Mother?!... Mother!!! No! stay with me!!" She screamed so loud but her mother was already a dead person and there's nothing she can do about it. 
"Please forgive me, mummy, am very very sorry" Jade muttered and fell on her mother's corpse and cried bitterly and after a few seconds she raised her head biting her teeth as she was full of anger and crying so bitterly as if there was anything she can do.
She obviously has nothing to do because she's powerless and she's not a trained warrior.
Then she looks up at Amelia with her lips angrily shaking.
"I told you to leave my family out of this! you can kill me and do whatever you want to do to me!!" Jade yelled at her without much respect applied to her statement again.
"Mmm? Poor girl that loves her family, begging for mercy, and I am wondering if there is anything she can do to save them?" Amelia said as she directed her dagger to Jade's little sister's head.
"No! No! please I beg of you! let her go! Kill me instead, please!" Jade began to plead with tears in her eyes as she was panting so hard.
"Is like I will have to ask Zack to help shut your mouth for you" Amelia said as Jade becomes silent immediately as she stares at Zack who was watching them from the stairs while relaxing his body on the wall.
Then she gazed at Amelia with a pitiful look on her face and with Jade's current look, if all the Mistresses weren't born with hearts of stone she could have easily been forgiven but they are as deadly as python.
"I beg of you Mistress, just let her go, she's still a kid and knows nothing about this" Jade pleads with a calm voice.
"I think you could have stood for her if you have listened to me and trained to be a warrior..."
"But no, you chose to be Mama's pet, oh what a pet," Amelia said as she's rubbing the dagger on the little girl's head.
And finally pointed the dagger on her throat as Jade's panting tone increases to the extent that anyone who is standing beside her could feel her heartbeats.
"Oh... come on don't be scared, I will spare your sister on one condition," Amelia said as she throws away the dagger in her hand as Jade breathes down in relief and placed her hand on her chest.
"What you did, must have impressed David, and I am very sure that he is willing to trust you with his life," Amelia said as she approached Jade and bends down looking into her face.
Making the both of them gaze directly into each other's eyes "So I want you to go out there, search around the city, found David"
"Visiting Jasmine's Sanctuary should be your first option during your track"
"And if he is not there you are on your own, track him down alone and bring him to me," Amelia said as Favour waves her head.
"Why are you doing this" Favour asked.
"Because that's the only way I can free your lil sister, I don't care about how you are going to do it and I am giving you just 48 hours"
"Failure to do so, you would find the head of your sister hanged outside my wall," Amelia said and Jade stood up.
"Please, don't tell me that you are actually gonna cast me into the streets? Darklands are no friendly place for ladies"
"Wandering around the city alone is suicide, please Mistress"
"I can do this if you give me one of your cars," Jade said as Amelia looks at her sister again.
"You dare question my order, you forgot that you are doing this for your sister?" Amelia said as Jade immediately apologize.
"Am sorry, I will do it but promise me that my sister is safe here, you won't hurt her" Jade requested as Amelia pats her on her shoulder.
"Such guarantee doesn't exist, Jade, just do what I asked you to do and you will have your sister, failure to do so...?" Amelia said and left Jade behind and ran upstairs.
"Remember, that you have just 48 hours" Amelia added while she was running upstairs.
Then Jade stared at Zack with her eyes full of tears, then she approached her little sister and untied her mouth and hand as they hugs each other.
"Sister, please don't die out there, you still have me," She said with her little tiny voice as Jade smiled with a sad facial expression.
"Darling, I will not die, I will surely come back for you," Jade said and just in Zack grabbed Jade and drags her away as tears streams down from the little girl's eyes.
"I will surely come back for you Mariam! I promise!!" Jade screamed while she was being dragged away by Zack.
And finally, Zack kicked her out of the house and sealed the door.
Then he opened the window "Take her out of fort" Zack ordered as the guards rushed Jade and attempted to grab her
"I will leave on my own" Jade said with tears as she stares at Zack for the very last time then turned and walks away.
Immediately she stepped out of the sanctuary she saw a car kept on her front.
"Am sorry that it had to end this way, Jade" a voice sounded on her back and she looked back just to discover that it was Favour and she waves her head.
"You are sorry that things had to end this way? my mum was killed right in my presence"
"And my sister is still not safe in there, here I am, casted into the lonely dangerous streets of the Darklands," Jade said as she swallows her saliva and approached Favour.
Jade was just so desperate to make sure that her little sister is safe because she is the only thing she had left on Earth now.
"Favour, Please can I just request one thing, I know you have offended me and I don't care about that," Jade said.
"Favour you know that I will surely not survive on the streets where so many men are craving for blood" she continues.
"I just want you to promise me that you will protect my sister for me please" Jade requested with tears in her eyes as she grabs Favour's hand.
Favour stared at her for a few seconds and waves her head "Am sorry, I can't promise you that because order is not in my hand" Favour responded as Jade continues pleading.
"Yes I know that, but you could entirely change your mother's mind with just a word, Please am begging you, just do this for me and I will forever be grateful," Jade said and Favour still waves her head without even trying to give it a thought.
"Jade, I can't do what you are asking me of, I have done what I possibly can by bringing you a car to make your journey easy"
"Good luck Jade," Favour said and handed over the key to Jade while Jade was sobbing so hard.
She couldn't hold herself as she collected the key from Favour and threw it away.
"Bastard just pray that I should never survive this journey, because if I do, you will surely die in my hand I promise you that," Jade said as she began making her way out using her legs.
While Favour silently picked up her car key and looks at Jade once more "Good luck Jade" Favour said as she watched her till she walks out of sight.
"Now, that's what you get when you try to step into an unknown family and try to take over my place in my mother's home" Favour muttered.
