Galileo POV

Today is the day of my flight, a day I've been both eagerly anticipating and feeling a hint of trepidation about. As I gather my belongings and pack them into the car, my phone rings, and I see Aelia's name on the screen.
Aelia: "Hello bestie! What time is your flight?"
Galileo: "Hey there! It's at 8 am."
Aelia: "Ohh, sorry. I'm busy around that time, so I can't accompany you to the airport. Sorry!"
Her words catch me by surprise, a mixture of disappointment and understanding flooding my thoughts. It's a pang of sadness that she won't be there to see me off, but at the same time, I know that life can be unpredictable, and plans don't always align.
Galileo: "No worries at all, Aelia. I completely understand. Life gets busy, and I appreciate you letting me know."
Aelia: "Thanks for understanding, Galileo. But hey, I promise I'll be there in spirit. I'll be cheering you on from here!"
Galileo: "I'll definitely feel your support, even from miles away. And don't worry, we'll stay connected no matter the distance."
Aelia: "Absolutely! We've got technology on our side."
We share a laugh, and I can't help but feel grateful for her positive outlook. Even though she won't physically be there at the airport, I know that her friendship and encouragement will be with me, guiding me as I embark on this new chapter of my life.
Galileo: "Thank you, Aelia. Your friendship means the world to me. I'm excited about the journey ahead, and I'm glad to have you in my corner."

As we exchange our final words before my departure, a sense of reassurance washes over me. Lucas claps me on the shoulder, a grin playing on his lips. "Of course, man. Aelia told me she couldn't make it, so I thought I'd step in and see you off."
I feel a surge of gratitude for Lucas' presence, understanding that Aelia's absence doesn't mean I'll be alone in this moment.
"Thanks, Lucas. I really appreciate it," I say, a genuine smile forming on my lips.
As we wait for the boarding process to begin, Lucas and I catch up on each other's lives, sharing stories, laughter, and a few nostalgic moments. The announcement for boarding finally comes, and as we stand in line, I turn to Lucas.
"Hey, I just wanted to say thanks again for being here," I say, my voice filled with sincerity.
Lucas claps me on the shoulder once more, his smile warm. "No problem, Galileo. We've been through a lot together, and I wouldn't miss seeing you off."
