Chapter 13, Part 2

Kiea and Lia spent the entire afternoon visiting different wedding venues. Some were elegant and grand, while others had a more intimate and cozy feel. Kiea wanted something that felt like them—a place that held warmth, love, and memories waiting to be made.
As they stepped into another venue, Lia turned to her with a knowing smile.
Lia: "You’re thinking about him, aren’t you?"
Kiea sighed, running her fingers over the floral arrangement on the table.
Kiea: "Is it that obvious?"
Lia: "You’ve had that dreamy, faraway look since this morning. It’s sweet, really." Kiea chuckled.
Kiea: "I just wish he were here to see all of this. It feels strange making decisions without him." Lia linked arms with her and nudged her playfully.
Lia: "He trusts you, Kiea. And if you love a place, he’ll love it too. That’s how love works."
Kiea smiled, knowing Lia was right. After a few more tours, they finally found a venue that made her heart skip a beat. It was an open garden surrounded by twinkling fairy lights, with a breathtaking view of the sunset. She could already picture walking down the aisle, Ryzen waiting for her at the end.
Excited, she took a few photos and sent them to Ryzen, hoping he would respond soon.
Later that night, Kiea lay in bed, staring at her phone, waiting for Ryzen’s message. When it finally came, her heart fluttered.
Ryzen: "Wow, this place is beautiful! I can already imagine you walking down that aisle. I think we just found our wedding venue."
Kiea grinned, hugging her pillow.
Kiea: "I wish you were here to see it in person."
Ryzen: "I know, babe. But soon. I promise."
She held onto his words, feeling comforted. Distance was hard, but moments like this reminded her that they were still in this together.
As she closed her eyes, she whispered to herself, "One step closer to forever."
The following days were filled with excitement as Kiea and Ryzen continued their wedding preparations. Kiea, with Lia’s help, finalized the guest list, picked out decorations, and started looking at wedding dresses.
One evening, as Kiea sat on the couch, going through different wedding invitations, her phone rang. Seeing Ryzen’s name on the screen, she quickly answered.
Kiea: "Hey, love! I was just about to send you pictures of the invitations."
Ryzen’s voice sounded tired but happy.
Ryzen: "That’s great, babe. But… I have something important to tell you."
Kiea’s heart skipped a beat.
Kiea: "What is it? Is everything okay?"
Ryzen: "I’m coming home next week."
Kiea gasped, her hands trembling with excitement.
Kiea: "Are you serious?! For real this time?"
Ryzen: "Yes. I made arrangements, and I’ll be there to help with the rest of the wedding plans. I don’t want you doing everything alone."
Tears welled up in Kiea’s eyes as she covered her mouth, trying to contain her emotions.
Kiea: "Ryzen, this is the best news ever!"
Ryzen: "I can’t wait to see you, babe. We’re one step closer to our forever."
The days passed in a blur as Kiea eagerly awaited Ryzen’s return. She made sure everything was ready—the venue was booked, the catering was confirmed, and even the wedding dress fitting was scheduled.
Finally, the day arrived. Kiea stood at the airport, her heart pounding as she scanned the crowd. Then, she saw him. Ryzen walked toward her, his familiar smile making her tear up instantly.
Without thinking, she ran straight into his arms.
Kiea: "You’re really here."
Ryzen: "I told you, didn’t I? Nothing could keep me away."
Holding each other tightly, they knew—this was the moment everything became real. Their wedding wasn’t just a plan anymore. It was happening.

The days after Ryzen’s return felt like a dream. With him by her side, everything seemed easier—choosing the final wedding details, meeting with the event planner, and even handling the stress that came with last-minute changes.
One evening, they sat on Kiea’s balcony, watching the city lights flicker in the distance. Ryzen held her hand, gently rubbing circles on her palm.
Ryzen: "Are you nervous?"
Kiea: "A little. There’s still so much to do."
Ryzen: "We’ve got this, babe. Together."
Kiea leaned her head on his shoulder, letting out a small sigh.
Kiea: "I just want everything to be perfect."
Ryzen: "It already is. You and me? That’s all that matters."
Kiea smiled, feeling the weight on her chest lighten.
The following week, their families arrived for the final preparations. Kiea’s parents were busy helping with the arrangements, while Ryzen’s family made sure everything was in place for the big day.
One afternoon, as Kiea tried on her wedding dress for the last fitting, Lia gasped.
Lia: "Oh my gosh, Kiea. You look stunning!"
Kiea turned to the mirror, her breath hitching. The dress fit perfectly, hugging her in all the right places, the delicate lace details making her look ethereal.
Kiea: "Do you think Ryzen will like it?" Lia scoffed.
Lia: "Like it? Girl, he won’t be able to take his eyes off you!"
Kiea giggled, her excitement growing.
Meanwhile, Ryzen was dealing with his own nerves. His best friend, Marco, clapped him on the back as they picked up their suits.
Marco: "You sure you're ready for this, man?"
Ryzen grinned.
Ryzen: "I’ve never been more sure about anything in my life."
The final night before the wedding, Kiea and Ryzen talked on the phone, both unable to sleep.
Kiea: "This is it. Tomorrow, I’ll walk down the aisle to you."
Ryzen: "And I’ll be waiting, just like I always will."
Their hearts were full of love and anticipation. The next chapter of their story was about to begin.
